Cast

Ruthann "Bernie" Collins graduated from the Mercer School of Theology, completing her certification in Christian Educational Ministries and Theological Education. Upon graduating Bernie became the Canon for Christian Education at The Cathedral of the Incarnation, in Garden City New York.

 

In 2003 she became a missioner for the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society based out of New York City and traveled the world as a missioner. As part of her "Live Life" list she wanted to become a stand-up comedian and took a class to learn the skill.

Donna Moran has her Bachelor's degree and a Civil Service caseworker certificate. She works as a caseworker for Adult Protective Services in Nassau County, New York. Adult Protective Services is akin to Child Protective Services for adults. After two years in this position, she realized that she needed to tap into her creative side so she went back into stand-up comedy.

 

I've come to realize it is never too late to pursue your dreams. Performing comedy and making people laugh has allowed me to better handle the demands of a challenging day job."

Ellen Orchid is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine with an MD and Ph.D. in Neuroscience, as part of their Medical Scientist Training Program. She did a psychiatry residency at New York University - Bellevue Hospital.

 

She is board-certified and has practiced psychiatry for 40 years. She began stand-up in 1982 and has performed on "The View", "Live with Regis",

"America's Funniest Viewers", and "Oprah's Funniest Viewers".

Lou Prats has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from SUNY Westbury. He started in 1995 in Bronx Criminal Court as a Court Officer. He started taking tests to move through the ranks becoming a Senior Court Officer in 1999, a Court Clerk in 2001 and an Associate Court Clerk in 2005 and presently works in Nassau District Court.

 

Lou supervises the Courtroom Clerks, is the liaison to the Domestic Violence sector, and handles appeals. Starting comedy should have come easy for Lou being that his uncle was Comedian/Actor Red Buttons.

Mitchel Shapiro is a public speaker and the founder of Help America Hear. Afflicted by Usher Syndrome, the leading cause of deaf-blindness, Mitch considers himself differently abled, which has only served to sharpen his "vision." His singular focus on turning his personal adversity into opportunity for growth is truly an inspiration.

 

Mitch started to learn stand up comedy in 2015 and is a graduate of Stand Up U on Long Island. He has performed at the Brokerage, McGuires and Governors comedy clubs on Long stand.

Filmmakers

Claudia Bonavita (Writer/Producer) began her career as a Special Education Teacher in 1988. In 2019, Claudia took a Stand-up comedy class and hit the stage performing stand-up. She has met some very interesting people while performing stand-up. She thought of the idea for this movie and contacted a young director she knew who told her to "write a treatment."

John Silecchia (Director) is a graduate of Five Towns College with a degree in Film/TelevisionProduction. He has been involved with different production with such companies like Troma Entertainment, Shea Moisture, and Local TV Inc. John was the producer, writer, and director for his short film, Taquitos and produced the short, Anatomia.
